Billie Ireland has been exploring continuous themes relating to Natural History for the past 10 years, graduating in 1997.  She exhibits regularly in the UK and has won several awards for her painting. She has also exhibited in Ireland and Sweden.

Billie’s painting has evolved from attempting to replicate the organic and natural into works that are dominated by the painting process.  Billie uses natural history collections, the surrounding countryside and texts and illustrations made by early naturalists exploring the New Worlds to develop her work.  She is continually adding to her own collections and experiences of nature, travelling worldwide to rainforest, desert and reef habitats and more recently places of geological interest.
